The first in CIS countries international forum dedicated to mobile TV “Mobile Broadcasting. World success story and prospects of implementation in Eastern Europe and CIS” took place in Kiev, Ukraine, on May 29, 2007. The sponsorship support of the event was provided by QArea as far as the company considers mobile TV one of the most perspective innovative trends in mobile world and invests in the development of software for mobile TV streaming security. Among other event sponsors there were such companies as Irdeto, Qualcomm and Techexpo. Besides the Forum gathered the representatives of quite a few companies that have already launched mobile TV services in other countries successfully. They were invited to introduce their most interesting cases of deployment of mobile broadcasting based on the standards DVB-H, DMB, MediaFlo in Western Europe, Asia and America and discuss the current situation and the prospects of digital mobile broadcasting (DVB-H, DMB, MediaFlo) implementation in the countries of Eastern Europe and CIS. |

| In the age of "better, faster, cheaper" software and IT services the 'IT' more and more means "Intensive Testing" and 'ICT' -"Intellectual Comprehensive Testing". Indeed, these "better, faster, cheaper" IT products are nothing without high quality. Today it is no secret that neglecting QA and testing stage in software development before mass production means spoilt image of the product, inability to reach mass market and revenue loss for the manufacturer at the end. And the more "better, faster, cheaper" software you try to produce the more testing efforts, more complex techniques and more skilled staff it implies. Thus, you really need to essentially increase your costs for testing in order to assure your software to be of the highest quality. |

| Mobile content market is one of the youngest and rapidly extending ones not only in the Eastern Europe but also in the world: 1998 is considered to be its birth year. Colour displays, sophisticated functionalities of mobile handsets and high speed mobile Internet cultivate perfect ground for downloadable content. And mobile content sales, in its turn, as of today stably gather their pace. The index of mobile connection penetration in the Eastern Europe is about 75% - 80%, i.e. mobile market is close to saturation and it will be hard for mobile operators to use the factor of extensive growth to stimulate revenues increase. |

| Currently, a Ukrainian cell connection subscriber pays three times less than a European, but four times more than an inhabitant of China or India. Last year cellular connection providers in Ukraine demonstrated the maximum business growth rates: the subscribers amount increased from 14 mln. to 30 mln. people (64% of population of Ukraine). This year experts expect the amount of subscribers to reach 45 mln. people which is almost total quantity of citizens. |

| According to the research held by analytics company Canalys the market of "smart" mobile devices in Europe, Near East and Africa grows more rapidly than market of mobile phones. Within the first half of 2005 9.6 million of smartphones and PDAs were sold compared to 3.6 million during the same period of the previous year. Such trend is observed worldwide – almost 70 million full feature handsets are sold worldwide. According to analysts the two main processes in progress stipulate such growth at the moment. On the one hand, ordinary users interchange their old smartphones and PDAs to newer ones. On the other hand, there is an upsurge in interest in mobile E-mail and extended abilities of smart mobile devices from companies and corporations. |

| When I explore the news on QArea web site, check the site content for certain information or inquire any of Project Managers for proposal, I can feel subtle similarity of all the intelligible, polite, though strict phrases I read. I know that whoever of my colleagues is sending me an email with any QArea document or quote, there is a fairy who has already made this technical text comprehensible. |

Prepared by Julia Palatovska, QArea PR Manager
The 3rd day of 3GSM (QArea took decision to visit 3GSM Congress 2006 after we got kindly invited by Wireless World Forum as its Premium Member) started with the most romantic and probably the most interesting meeting. Romantic, because the meeting was on a boat with a mystic name Mystic. Interesting, because finally we met one of our good and permanent clients in reality.
As far as we often get requests on our mobile application testing services I would like to publish our success story with Trigenix, British mobile user interface company. |
