Application for Palm test automation

A goal of this project was to create an application for Palm test automation. The Test suite developed consists of two parts: Palm-part and PC-part. Palm-part provides the QA engineer with a set of functions for recording and replaying of a sequence of actions for bug reproduction. PC-part is intended for bug analysis, editing and other actions over recorded sequences. Low-level Palm OS development was used and special version of Palm OS emulator was created.

Network library for multiplayer gaming with dedicated server

Porting Win32 library to iPhone platform. Library communicates with server via HTTP or UDP. Protocol has about 80 commands, including data serialization and more.

Applications:

- Sample applications for this library. Selecting player and log output while calling some functions.

- Unit tests for library. Text output to screen and log file.

Crossplatform library for casual network gaming. Includes library, unit tests, and samples for each platform.

Library uses HTTP or UDP connection to dedicated web server and provides API for multiplayer games (like MMORPG). API includes:

• Register/login
• Create/join games (matches)
• Sending any data to all players or some players
• High score tables
• Buddy list, buddy messages
• Billing

Online casino software for Palm, Pocket PC, Symbian

Unlike ordinary online casino, Just a casino primarily targets owners of mobile devices with wireless technology support (Palm, Pocket PC, mobile phones with J2ME support). Users can play traditional casino games directly on their handheld devices and cell phones with Internet connection instead of personal computer.

Software system which provides protection, control and secure access to different handheld devices and data

A thorough research enabled to implement new revolutionary ideas on the basis of 4 handheld platforms: Palm OS, Pocket PC, Symbian OS, RIM OS. The results of our research discovered new principles of security for different PDA OS which differ from the standard ones. Working with OS on deep level and using of OS undocumented performance capabilities made it possible to develop powerful and flexible security tool. PDA Secure Suit enables users to gain full control over the access to the data stored on handheld devices.

Security Tools:

1.Access rights differentiation (for corporation employee and for the administrator):

• password change control,
• password complexity control (upper/lower register, digits, special symbols),
• password restoration,
• system lockup after several (n) incorrect passwords insert attempts. (device rebooting, temporary lockup, lockup with the subsequent administrator?s interference, wiping all critical data).

2.All critical data is wiped:

• provided a special password is inserted (Administrator can remind/make an employee specify it),
• automatically provided computer-device synchronization did not take place for several (n) days

3.Encrypting (on-the-fly) files (on mask), databases (mail, contacts, tasks, calendar) and data on additional Flash-card. There is a list of permitted applications which provide automatic data decryption after the data activation. The following algorithms are used for encryption: AES, TDES, TwoFish, BlowFish, XOR, RC4 with different key length.
4.Passwords for the application on start:

• password change control,
• password complexity control (upper/lower register, digits, special symbols).

5.Access rights differentiation for the corporation employee according to his working schedule.

• Switching on/off Wi-Fi
• Switching on/off BlueTooth
• Switching on/off IrDa
