The Challenge: To improve their market position lawyers worldwide needed the document workflow solution based on widely accepted and open document formats, such as portable document format (PDF). Law office of Ronald S. Kahn based in New York decided to collect information about potential customers from their partners via web site and distribute dynamically generated documents in portable document format (PDF).
The Solution: Document workflow application was built upon widely accepted and approved technology (Java servlets, JSP and XML). Heavy usage of open source libraries and application server greatly reduced costs of this application, improved its reliability and extensibility. Distribution of documents over Internet in PDF format allows customers (whether they are at home or in the office) to easily view, print, mail, edit or save them.
