Video Librarian for Palm

The primary function of PC and Palm part of this software is to keep the user catalog of Videotapes and Events - custom labels are set for each Videotape. User interface of both PC and Palm part allows to handy enter, browse, edit and search for a particular tape or event. Killer feature of this application is the ability to control VCR from Palm, as if you were using standard remote control of your VCR, and also rewind the tape in VCR to a specific event. This feature doesn't take a large percentage of Palm-side GUI, but its implementation required reverse engineering on both software and hardware level and thorough testing for various types of VCR. We discovered that some of VCRs require specific handling and application's architecture provides flexible way to handle any potential customer's VCR.
