Wireless Positioning System
Challenge: The system of location definition by means of scanning available Wi-Fi access points.
Solution: The developed application consists of two parts:
- The part of the system is a driver emulating the work of GPS receiver.
- Another part of the system is responsible for scanning, defining of coordinates and recording of access points into the server database.
Result: Cross platform application that leverages wardriving data to create a simulated GPS device for other applications to utilize via a virtual COM port.
